Handling Bad Actors

Even if a bad actor gets verified, there is always an option to initiate a revote by verified wallets by staking their own BRN points. This way, any attempt to game the system can be caught and handled promptly.

After the bad actor's wallet enters the revoting process, the random validators will vote similarly to how they did before, and if the wallet gets enough differers, it gets marked as unverified and the wallet cannot transact anymore.

This means that all the TRST tokens that originated from that wallet will also get orphaned. So, even those who accept TRST tokens from any verified wallet need to be cautious of potential bad actors and can have their own means of verifying legitimacy if they don't want to potentially lose any value. They will be rewarded in TRST if they initiate a revote of a bad actor and get them unverified.

This also means any case of bribery for verification is harder to initiate because those who know about the reality of your wallet can always initiate another revote which will incentivize them even more.
