TRST Tokens
TRST is an abbreviation for the word 'trust'. TRST is the second part of the equation. It's the reward for genuine contribution that improves the lives of others.
Creation
TRST gets created on a 1:1 ratio while burning BRN. TRST is the reward for burning someone else's BRN points.
Link
Each TRST token is unique from other TRST tokens as it carries the history of its creation and transfers.
As you can see, each TRST transaction will link itself to the previous TRST transaction it was derived from.
Epoch
Apart from this, each TRST transaction will also link itself directly to the first transaction that happened in the transaction chain, which will always be the burn transaction. This way, its originator and its time till expiry can be accounted for.
Orphaning
From the moment that the TRST token is created, it will only be able to be traded for a certain time period, and after that, it will be orphaned, meaning it will still be available to be seen in your wallet and the ledger, but you will not be able to send it to someone else.
Example:
Let's see an example on how the tokens will be transferred in BURST network.
First, the wallet holder burns 50 BRN and sends the TRST token to someone other wallet. Then, the 50 TRST is sent to someone else, then it gets split to 30 and 20 TRST, while the 30 TRST gets split further into 10,5, and 15 TRST respectively. As you can see, the split always makes it so that the sum of splits will be equal to the amount of TRST before splitting.
Link
Apart from that, each TRST transaction links itself to the transaction that the current TRST was split from, like you see in the figure.
Epoch
Also, every transaction will link itself to the epoch transaction, which is the burn transaction that created all of the TRST tokens.
Transaction
Let's look a bit more on what's a valid and what's invalid transaction in BURST.
In this example, the system has set the expiry time at 30 years. This means that 30 years after the TRST token was created, it becomes unusable, or "orphaned." So after 30 years, you can't use the TRST token from whatever wallet it's in.
Demmurage
Since TRST is 'excess' value that is different from Universal Income (meaning you will still be able to survive and do well just by the BRN points you have), only the TRST tokens will be subject to demurrage in the form of making them untransferable once they reach the time threshold.
Consumer won't have to worry about spending the BRN points quickly and make unwise purchases as a result, because only TRST is demmurage.
